Recently, we held the Kisaragi Tea Pairing.
The name Kisaragi refers to the traditional Japanese name for February. It is often said to mean “a time when people put on extra layers of clothing,” as the cold of winter still lingers. As the season slowly moves from winter toward spring, I wanted to create a moment where people could quietly enjoy tea and sweets together.
On the day of the event, many guests joined us, and in a calm and intimate atmosphere we shared three kinds of Japanese tea, each paired with a carefully selected sweet. It was a gentle and unhurried time.
The warm words from our guests and the conversations that naturally unfolded around tea were truly encouraging for me. I felt very grateful to be able to share a moment where culture and the changing seasons could be experienced through tea.

Our next gathering will be the spring-themed tea event “Jit-hue / Yayoi.”
In the soft light of spring, we hope to share a tea experience featuring Taiwanese tea, Japanese tea, and seasonal sweets.

先日、「Kisaragi Tea Pairing」を開催しました。
如月という名前には、まだ寒さが残る季節に衣を重ねて過ごすという意味が込められています。冬から春へと移り変わるこの時期に、ゆっくりとお茶とお菓子を楽しむ時間を作りたいと思い、この茶会を企画しました。
当日は多くの方にお越しいただき、静かな空間の中で台湾茶と日本茶、それぞれに合わせたお菓子を味わいながら、ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができました。
参加してくださった皆さまの温かい言葉や、お茶を囲んで生まれる会話に、私自身もとても励まされました。お茶を通して文化や季節を感じる時間を共有できたことを、とても嬉しく思っています。
ご参加いただいた皆さま、本当にありがとうございました。
次回は春のテーマ「日花・弥生」の茶会を予定しています。春の光の中で、台湾茶と日本茶、そして季節のお菓子を楽しむ時間をお届けできたらと思っています。
